How do I register my Livescribe wifi smartpen?
To register your Livescribe wifi smartpen, from your PC or Mac computer (not your tablet or phone) go to www.livescribe.com/setup for a quick step-by-step guide.
During this process, you will be instructed to set up your Livescribe and Evernote accounts as well as link your Livescribe wifi smartpen to these accounts. This process includes these steps:
Create your Livescribe Account (or use "Sign In" on the right if you already have an account).
Click the "Link to Evernote" button to open an Evernote window.
Create your Evernote Account (or use "Sign in" on the right if you already have one).
Click the "Authorize" button (allows Livescribe to access your Evernote account for adding and updating smartpen notes).
Enter the code scrolling across your smartpen display, name your smartpen, and click the "Activate Smartpen" button.
NOTE: If you don't see a code scrolling across the smartpen display, open your Starter Notebook to the inside front cover and tap the "Software Version" button in the lower left corner. Ignore the first three characters "AYE" and enter the remaining eight characters.
Finally connect to a WiFi network (use the buttons on the inside cover of your WiFi Starter Notebook, starting with "Scan for Networks") in order to update your smartpen firmware and start syncing with Evernote. If you don't have immediate access to WiFi you can use the Livescribe Helper Application to perform the initial software update by clicking the "Download Livescribe Helper" button below. After the update, future upgrades will be automatic and deployed wirelessly.
