I'm using Google Docs / Drive. Why can't I see green ink when I open a Pencast PDF?
If you are on the Google Docs (or the new Google Drive) web site and are trying to view Pencast PDFs that contain ink and, clicking the file will only open an image of the page (black ink).
To view the page with active ink:
- Log into Google Docs (or Google Drive).
- Right-click (Windows) / "control"- click (Mac) the Pencast PDF file.
- Select "Download".
- Windows Users: Double-click on the downloaded file. NOTE: Depending on your browser, before you can double-click on the file you may get a prompt to either "Open with" Adobe Reader or "Save File" to your computer. If you don't have Adobe Reader installed you can download it from www.adobe.com/reader. Mac Users: The PDF will open automatically, but if you don't have Adobe Reader installed as the default PDF reader then the PDF will open in Adobe Reader Preview as black ink. To correct this please see 180010 - Using my Mac, why can't I play audio when I open a Pencast PDF?
If after following the steps above you still have an issue playing audio (green ink) from a Pencast PDF please let us know.
